Palestinian Resistance Continues Despite Israeli Crimes Against Humanity & US-EU Support

By Hassan El-Najjar

January 12, 2009

The Zionist Israeli terrorist war on the Gaza Strip has continued for the seventeenth day without end in sight. The invading Israeli terrorist forces have continued attacking all areas in the Gaza Strip from the air, sea, and land, focusing on Gaza City and the Egyptian-Palestinian border area in Rafah.

The invading Israeli terrorist forces were reinforced with reserve forces in order to push further around and inside Gaza City.

According to Arabic TV stations reporting from Gaza, death and destruction have spread every where, with the death toll reaching 919 victims, and more than 4263 injuries. Among the civilians killed by Israeli terrorist forces were 277 children and 93 women. Most of the rest of victims were civilian men. Very few resistance fighters were killed.

The Israeli terrorist forces used all the weapons in their arsenal except their nuclear bombs. Yet, they are not capable of defeating the Palestinian resistance, even with the use of the internationally prohibited weapons such as the white phosphorus and DIME bombs.

The war criminal president of the Israeli terrorist state, Shimon Peres, summarized today what the Israelis did by saying, "what we have achieved in 16 days, we did not achieve in 16 years." He was accurate indeed when it comes to the death and destruction inflicted on the Palestinian civilian population. Zionists in particular enjoy the killing of children and their mothers. However, he is wrong concerning achieving any success against the formidable resistance so far. For the seventeenth day, Palestinian resistance fighters are there defending their neighborhoods, attacking invaders, and launching their missiles to reach the most strategic Israeli targets, nuclear air bases., statistics of which  were listed in yesterday's news report.

Today, during the early morning hours, Palestinian resistance fighters launched 11 rockets at Israeli targets, including 5 Grad missiles which reach targets about 50 kilometers away from Gaza. The number of missiles and rockets reached 20 at the end of the day. The far-reaching and strategic implication is that the Palestinian missiles are capable to reach the Dimona nuclear reactor and the nuclear bomber air base in Al-Naqab. Israelis and their supporters need to think about that and opt for peace and co-existence, instead the present mentality of achieving security through war crimes and crimes against humanity.

They also destroyed an Israeli armored vehicle and sniped an Israeli soldier in Al-Zaytoon neighborhood. Palestinian resistance fighters also announced that they captured an Israeli soldier but Israeli forces killed him when they bombed the group which captured him.

The world governments are silent, doing nothing to stop the Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity. In particular, US-EU governments have been in support of the Israeli terrorist war on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip. They have provided the Israeli terrorists with the weapons and the financial support necessary to commit this genocidal war.

The Zionist propaganda machine, represented by major TV networks like CNN,  Fox, and MSCNBC have been silent and rarely show viewers scenes of death and destruction in Gaza. To the contrary, they distract viewers to other local US stories, away from what is happening in Gaza. If they ever address the issue, they present the Israeli viewpoint and blame the victims.

The AIPAC-controlled members of US Congress passed two resolutions in the House and the Senate condemning the Palestinian victims and justifying Israeli war crimes as self-defense.

The US-EU governments made sure that the UN Security Council resolution does not order an immediate ceasefire, in order to give the Israeli terrorists the time needed to continue their war crimes and crimes against humanity.

European representatives in the UN Human Rights Organization in Geneva blocked all attempts to condemn the Israeli terrorist war, which violates all UN conventions regarding human rights of civilians at the time of war. They only insisted on passing a resolution which does not condemn the Israeli war criminals.

This war once again demonstrates that the EU governments are active participant in the Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The world has not gotten rid of imperialism yet!
