A suicide car bomber tried to detonate his bomb at a police checkpoint in Sard City but the police shot at him. Then, he detonated his explosives-packed Mercedes near a row of stores on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. The blast killed at least 15 people and injured forty others. (INA, 9/8/07).
