A total of 30 Palestinians, including 25 civilians, were injured in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Twenty of the injured were shot during an Israeli invasion to Al Boreij refugee camp, in the Central Gaza Strip.

Gaza Strip Attacks:

On Thursday morning, July 5, eleven Palestinians, including three civilians, were killed by the Israel army invaded Al Boreij refugee camp. The casualties were killed as the army invaded Al Boreij refugee camp.

24 residents, including eight children, and a cameraman of a local TV station were injured in the invasion. The legs of the cameraman were amputated.

The army carried a total of two invasions in the Gaza Strip during the reported period and bulldozed 200 Dunams of agricultural land.

Ten civilians were abducted by the army in the Gaza Strip during the reported period.

The Gaza Strip remained totally isolated from the West Bank and the rest of the world, and continued to suffer from shortages in fuels, food and medicine. A humanitarian crisis is likely to emerge, the PCHR reported.

All border crossings in the Gaza Strip, including the Eretz crossing between Gaza and Israel, remain closed. The Gaza Strip was isolated from the rest of the World since more than one year and more than 2.5 million residents and practically imprisoned in the sealed-off Gaza Strip. Also, at least 6000 Palestinians remained stuck on the Egyptian side of the Rafah International Crossing, and the number of deaths among them has mounted to 14 since Israel totally sealed the Gaza Strip, and closed its crossings.

West Bank Attacks:

One Palestinian was assassinated by the Israeli army in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank. The assassinated resident is a fighter of the Al Quds Brigades, the armed of the Islamic Jihad. He was extra-judicially executed on July 8 when the army opened fire at his vehicle.

He was with four other fighters during the attack; eyewitnesses reported that soldiers observed the vehicle and opened fire at it. Three fighters were taken prisoner.

Israeli troops carried 36 invasions into the West Bank during the reported period, and continued to impose full siege.

A total of 69 residents were kidnapped, including two who were shot and injured by the army, and three Palestinian civilians were taken prison at Israeli military roadblocks.

Attacks against peaceful protests:

On Friday, July 6, Israeli troops attacked peaceful protesters conducting their weekly non-violent protest against the Annexation wall in Bil’in village, west of Ramallah. The protest was organized by Palestinian, Israeli and international peace activists.

Soldiers placed barbwires in the area to prevent the demonstrators from reaching the Wall. The protesters attempted to move forward but the army fired rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas canisters at the demonstrators, and violently beat them. Three protesters were injured.

Israel continued to construct the illegal annexation Wall in the West Bank and continued to annex and isolate more Palestinians areas and orchards.

Settler attacks and illegal settlement activities:

Illegal Israeli settlers living in the occupied West Bank continued their attacks against the Palestinian civilians and their property.

On July 7, settlers of the illegal Ennab settlement, east of Tulkarem in the northern part of the West Bank, set ablaze Palestinian agricultural land near Rameen village. Local farmers reported that at least 100 Dunams planted with wheat, olives, almond and figs were burnt.

In the southern West Bank city of Hebron, settlers of the illegal Sousia settlement, south of the city, attacked two Palestinian houses five kilometers away from the settlement.

The settlers also attempted to uproot several trees, and threatened the to shoot the residents if they do not leave the area. These attacks are part of the settlers’ attempts to expand their illegal settlement by annexing more Palestinian lands.
