AL-BREIJ, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) troops withdrew, Thursday evening, from al-Buraij refugee camp after a military incursion that lasted for a number of hours, Palestinian sources reported.

The invading forces were ambushed by a group of Qassam Brigades fighters, the armed wing of Hamas, who killed one Israeli soldier and wounded two others.

Tens of Palestinian young men were rounded up during the incursion and three fighters affiliated with the Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, were wounded when Israel warplanes fired at them at the start of the incursion.

PIC correspondent reported that about 15 Israeli occupation military vehicles were seen withdrawing from the area on Thursday evening and residents headed to the targeted area to see the damage caused by the occupation troops' bulldozers.

The Israeli occupation forces for its part admitted that one of their soldiers was killed and two were wounded in an ambush by the Palestinian resistance fighters.

The Qassam Brigades issued a statement in which it described the ambush saying that one of its units monitored the movement of the IOF in the area and set up homemade anti-personnel explosive device of the type Ra'ed at 2:30am Thursday and that the device was detonated into the advancing troops.

The Brigades also said that their fighters targeted a tank and a bulldozer of the occupation army with two RPGs.
