Israeli occupation forces claim death of Palestinian fighter in Gaza Strip

Bethlehem – Ma'an – 

An Israeli occupation forces spokesperson said Israeli occupation forces killed an armed Palestinian man near the Gaza Strip border fence Friday morning. Officials claimed the man had fired on Israeli occupation soldiers.

Palestinian sources could not confirm the incident.

Separately, Hamas' military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for firing five mortar shells at Israeli occupation soldiers in the middle district of the Gaza Strip Thursday evening. Israeli occupation forces confirmed that five shells landed in the area.

No Israeli occupation soldiers were injured in either incident.

IOF troops withdraw from Fakhari after killing civilian, bulldozing lands

KHAN YOUNIS, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) withdrew from the Fakhari area east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, afternoon Wednesday after killing a Palestinian civilian and bulldozing vast areas of cultivated land.

Local sources told PIC correspondent that the Israeli occupation forces evacuated the town after demolishing a number of hothouses and bulldozing 20 dunums of cultivated lands.

The IOF soldiers' indiscriminate and intensive firing during the incursion killed Said Al-Amor, 22, who was hit with a bullet in the head while inside his home.

In another unrelated development, a member of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas Movement, died on Wednesday in Beit Lahia to the north of the Strip.

The armed wing said in a statement that Hamed Al-Rahal, 28, was martyred in a "special Jihad mission" but would not elaborate further. Independent reports said that Rahal was killed while digging a tunnel north of Beit Lahia.

Young Wounded by Land Mine in Palestinian –Jordanian Borders

TOBAS, October 5, 2007 WAFA)-

A Palestinian youth was wounded on Friday as a land mine exploded near the Palestinian –Jordanian borders, witnesses said.

They added that Muhammed Daraghma was herding cows in al-Aghwar al-Shamaliya area, which is a Palestinian area under the control of Israeli occupation troops when an (Israeli) land mine exploded and hit Daraghma with its shrapnel in his legs.

Darghma was transferred to al-Shifa clinic in Tobas city, which is a way 30 kilometers from the site. His condition is reported to be stable.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap two near Nablus

Israeli occupation government officials said their forces kidnapped two Palestinians near the West Bank city of Nablus, claiming they found improvised weapons in their car early Friday morning.

The officials said the weapons had been confiscated and the two men taken for interrogation.

Palestinian sources said that Israeli occupation forces kidnapped the two Palestinians from a car near the village of Beta, south of Nablus.

The men were identified as twenty-one-year-old Moussa Barham, and twenty-four-year-old Assef Ezzuddin. The incident took place near the village of Beita, south of Nablus.

Four peace activists injured at demonstration against illegal Israeli Land-Grab, Apartheid Wall

Ramallah – Ma'an – 

Four people were injured during a demonstration in the West Bank village of Bil'in, near Ramallah on Friday.

After the noon prayer, a large group of Palestinian, Israeli and international protesters marched to the illegal Israeli Land-Grab, Apartheid Wall.

Isaeli occupation forces prevented them from reaching the barrier, deploying tear gas.

In early September the Israeli occupation government Supreme Court ruled against the route of the barrier, which currently separates Bil'in residents from their farmland. Weekly demonstrations have continued in the village, demanding a swift and complete implementation of the decision.

Demonstrators have taken to the streets in Bil'in every Friday for over two years.
