Israeli Occupation Forces Storm Ramallah and Tulkarem, Steal Money During House Searches, Demolish Al-Kurd Tent in Jerusalem for 4th Time

IOFs storm Ramallah, Tulkarem

[ 21/12/2008 - 04:15 PM ]

RAMALLAH, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the cities of Ramallah and Tulkarem in the West Bank on Sunday and freely moved in the cities while PA security elements were noticeably off the streets of both cities.

Media reporting of the storming, which was covered live, showed the soldiers riding in their jeeps and in front of them and moving slowly and freely in the streets with no presence of PA security apparatuses which claimed they were responsible for defending the country.

Abu Abir, the spokesman of the Salahuddin Brigades, the armed wing of the popular resistance committees, in Gaza said that the PA security war on resistance and its elements allowed such a scene to happen.

He said that the scene is a scandal for both PA chief Mahmoud Abbas and his entourage, noting that the situation is totally different in the Gaza Strip where the IOF soldiers find big difficulty in advancing 200 meters even in open areas.

IOF soldiers had also raided a number of towns in Jenin district in a pre dawn raid on Sunday and broke into a number of civilian homes but no arrests were reported.

In Yaffa, occupied since 1948, Zionist extremists wrote insulting slogans against prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, on the walls of Bahar Mosque.

Shaikh Ahmed Abu Awja, the head of the Islamic Movement in Yaffa, and Zaki Eghbaria, the head of Al-Aqsa foundation for endowments and heritage, denounced the "sinful and criminal act".

They called for immediate action to bridle such "racist practices", noting that other anti-Arab slogans were written such as "Death to the Arabs" on the outside walls of the same mosque.

No one was kidnapped. Far’oan is south of the city of Tulkarem.

Al-Kurd tent demolished for fourth time; Islamic Judicial Council condemns act

Date: 21 / 12 / 2008  Time:  15:06
Jerusalem – Ma’an –

The Protest Tent of Umm Al-Kurd was demolished for the fourth time Sunday.

The elderly woman was evicted from her home by an Israeli occupation government court order stating the building, constructed 50 years ago, did not have the proper permits. Umm Al-Kurd’s husband died the day after the family was evicted; she set up a protest tent on property near the site of her demolished home which has been destroyed four times since November.

The Islamic Judicial Council condemned the action, which saw dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers and police dismantle the Shaikh Jarrah tent.

The condemnation came during a Sunday session of the council headed by Palestinian Judge Shaikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi in Jerusalem.

The council also denounced the attack on Palestinian prisoners in the Ofer Israeli occupation detention center, in which eight of the prisoners were injured. The council said they held the Israeli occupation government responsible for the consequences of such attacks.

The council demanded all of the International human rights organizations intervene immediately to stop the Israeli attacks on both prisoners and the Al-Kurd family.
