GAZA, (PIC)--

Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the acting PLC speaker, has hailed the Bahraini parliament's decision to extend 10 million dollars to the Palestinian government in urgent assistance.

Dr. Bahar, in a telephone contact with Shaikh Khalilfa Al-Dhahrani, the Bahraini speaker, highlighted the solid Palestinian-Bahraini relations, which were further enhanced following the Bahraini parliamentary delegation's visit to Gaza.

The acting speaker appreciated the urgent assistance, which is expected in Gaza within the few coming days, and noted that Bahrain was the first country to expedite a delegation to Gaza when the borders were opened in a popular act against the siege.

Dhahrani said that the Bahraini aid was part of its commitment to its Palestinian brothers, and renewed his country's backing to the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, establishment of the independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and return of refugees to their original homes.
