Israelis dig a new tunnel near Al-Aqsa Mosque

AF warns: Israel building new tunnel near the Aqsa Mosque

[ 14/02/2008 - 02:59 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

The Aqsa foundation for the reconstruction of Islamic holy shrines revealed Wednesday in photographs that the IOA is building a new underground tunnel adjacent to the western wall of the Aqsa Mosque extending over a distance of 200 meters, calling on the Arab and Islamic countries to save occupied Jerusalem and the holy mosque before it is too late.

According to the foundation, the tunnel starts from the left side of the Buraq square and extends into the old town passing under dozens of Palestinian houses up to the Hammam Al-Ein neighborhood where the foundation discovered a year ago excavations carried out under the neighborhood by the IOA in order to build a Jewish synagogue at a distance of 50 meters from Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The foundation stated that this tunnel and the serious excavations are threatening Al-Aqsa Mosque and dozens of Palestinian houses with collapse, pointing out that the tunnel consists of several interrelated subways.

For his part, Sheikh Kamal Khatib, the deputy head of the Islamic Movement in the Palestinian lands occupied in 1948, underlined in this regard that the Israeli infringements on Al-Aqsa Mosque bear out that the Israeli government's talk about the possibility of reaching a solution in the future is a bunch of lies.

For his part, Dr. Saleh Al-Ruqub, the deputy minister of endowments and religious affairs, asserted that the excavation being carried out under the foundations of Al-Aqsa Mosque is a part of a plot to demolish Al-Aqsa foundations funded by Australian and American Zionists.

In a press release to the Palestine newspaper, Ruqub explained that the Zionist scheme aims to create openings beneath Al-Aqsa Mosque for destabilizing its foundations, adding that the scheme includes spurring an artificial earthquake through exploding a nuclear bomb in the western Negev and Eilat areas in order to make the Palestinian residents believe that the Mosque collapsed because of a natural quake.

In another serious development, Hebrew sources unveiled a new Zionist plan to build 20 residential towers for Israeli extremists in occupied Jerusalem in the context of dozens of Zionist plans to Judaize the city.

Caretaker gov't: Accelerating Judaization points to failure of PA negotiations

[ 14/02/2008 - 03:03 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)--

The caretaker government headed by Ismail Haneyya has stated that Israel is speeding its Judaization schemes in order to create a geographical and demographical change settling the argument over Jerusalem by turning it into a capital of the Hebrew state, adding that these schemes are fresh evidence of the failure of PA's frivolous negotiations.

In a press release received on Wednesday by the PIC, Taher Al-Nunu, the spokesman for the government, underlined that these accelerating schemes coincides with Israeli premier Ehud Olmert's statements that the PA negotiator agreed to defer any discussion on the question of Jerusalem.

Nunu underscored, in another context, that the exchange of roles and the security coordination between the PA security apparatuses and the Israeli occupation through kidnapping Palestinian resistance fighters and turning them in later after releasing them to the IOF troops "hits the national project and enshrines internal division."

In another serious context, Palestinian sources revealed that the PA's unconstitutional government in Ramallah decided to allow the sale of Palestinian lands to foreigners which will certainly open the way for Zionists to seize Palestinian lands with official consent.

Mahmoud Al-Habbash, the PA's agriculture minister, seconded the decision, alleging that its does not carry any negative implication at all, but it was issued in order to promote foreign investment in the occupied Palestinian lands and to encourage land reclamation.

According to observers, this decision, which violates Palestinian law, prepares the way for Zionists to put their hands on more Palestinian lands especially since Israelis hold more than one nationality.
