6 Palestinians Killed by Israeli Occupation Forces in Gaza Strip, Including Four Killed, 13 Injured in Rafah

Four Palestinians killed, 13 injured as Israeli occupation forces invade Rafah

Israeli occupation forces killed four Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday morning, and a two others died of wounds sustained in previous incursions. At least 13 people were injured in the attack.

Ma'an's reporter said that medical crews found three corpses of Palestinian activists after the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Shoaka area near the airport.

Medical sources named the victims as Abdul-Kareem Al-Ghalban, Nasser Abu Shabab and Salam Abu Husain.

22-year-old Ibrahim Salih, an activist with the armed wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, was pronounced dead earlier.

Witnesses said that Israeli tanks invaded the area near the abandoned Yasser Arafat International Airport, near the city of Rafah, and fought with Palestinian activists after midnight. Warplanes also flew over Rafah to cover the invasion, firing several missiles.

Separately, On Saturday evening, Palestinian medical sources announced the death of a Palestinian man after he succumbed to wounds sustained on Friday in clashes with an undercover Israeli force in Al-Qarara in the southern Gaza Strip. Medical sources in Nasser hospital in Khan Younis identified the victim as Hani Shahin, who was involved in clashes with an undercover Israeli occupation force that entered in the area.

Later on Sunday morning, Palestinian medical sources announced that 21-year-old 'Ala' Abu Haddaf has died of wounds he sustained in the same confrontation with undercover Israeli occupation forces in Al-Qarara. Security sources said he was also affiliated with Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades.

38 Palestinians killed since the beginning of February, says Nafha society

The Nafha Society for the defense of Palestinian political prisoners and human rights announced on Sunday that the Israeli occupation forces have killed 38 Palestinians, including 6 children and one woman since the beginning of February.

The society's information department explained that 28 of the victims have been killed in targeted assassinations. Twenty-nine of the victims were from the Gaza Strip and 9 from the West Bank. The society attributed the rise in the death toll in the Gaza Strip to escalating Israeli attacks on resistance fighters.

According to Nafha, 87 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip and 9 in the West Bank last January, including 11 women and 11 children.
