Palestinian Activist Assassinated, 3 Injured and Abducted by an Israeli Death Squad in Nablus

An Israeli occupation forces death squad abducted four Palestinian men in Nablus in the northern West Bank on Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses told Ma'an's reporter that he saw a number of undercover Israeli occupation soldiers (a death squad) getting out of a minibus at Tel Street in western Nablus. They approached a Palestinian taxi and opened fire on its four occupants. The injured occupants were then abducted by the soldiers.

Ma'an learned that the abductees were 25-year-old Ibrahim Al-Masimi, 27-year-old Wa'il Al-Masimi, 20-year-old Yasir Al-Masimi and 21-year-old Ali 'Isha , 20-year-old Ibrahim Al-Jibrini.

The eyewitnesses affirmed that they saw the abductees bleeding after they were hit. Israeli occupation forces later reported that the Israeli occupation forces told the Palestinian authority that Ibrahim Al-Masimi had died of his injuries. Another of the injured men is reported to be in a serious condition.

Back up Israeli occupation forces later entered Nablus to assist the death squad.

In the same regard, Israeli military sources announced that four Palestinians were injured after the death squad (undercover force) invaded Nablus and targeted them. The Israeli sources affirmed that two were seriously injured.

According to the Israeli sources, the undercover force attempted to arrest five Palestinian activists in Nablus, who they claim were planning to undertake a military operation inside Israel. As the activists tried to escape, the soldiers fired at them.

Later the the Al-Aqsa Brigades in Nablus, Fatah's military wing, announced that they are no longer committed to a ceasefire with Israel after the Israeli undercover forces shot and abducted five of their activists.

Meanwhile, Palestinian military intelligence chief in the West Bank, Majid Faraj, said he held the Israelis responsible for the deterioration in the security situation in Nablus. He affirmed that the injured activists had adhered to the conditions of the amnesty deal and the ceasefire proposed by Israel.

The leader of Al-Aqsa Brigades in Balata refugee camp, Hani Al-Ka'bi told Ma'an that there will be a swift and tough response to the Israeli action, affirming that the ceasefire is over.

He also reiterated that the activists adhered to the amnesty deal and remained in the military intelligence headquarters for longer than the required three months under the amnesty deal.

Since Wednesday morning, Israeli forces have deployed around the military intelligence headquarters and the targeted activists as they left, Al-Ka'abi explained.

He also denied that the targeted group had planned to operate inside Israel, emphasizing that they have never left the security headquarters except after they noted the deployment of Israeli forces. He also denied that any of them were armed.
