Khamenei aide: Iran to hit Tel Aviv and U.S. fleet in Gulf if attacked

Ahmadinejad: Iran to cut off aggressors hands

Tehran, July 8, IRNA

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the Iranian nation will cut off hands of every aggressor before they can touch trigger.

Ahmadinejad made the remark in a news conference on the sidelines of the D8 Summit in Kuala Lumpur where he underlined that the Iranian nation is united and ready to defend its rights, and will definitely cut off aggressors' hands.

He said that there are numerous thinkers in the US who will not allow (US President George W) Bush to commit such a political suicide.

Of course the current economic, political and military situation in the US will not allow the US president to embark on such an act, Ahmadinejad further said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he underlined that Tehran is mulling the package of proposals of the Group 5+1 on Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's stance on nuclear issue is obvious and based on observing law and justice for all, the president also said.

"No one in Iran will retreat even by one inch from the country's indisputable nuclear right. However, we advocate negotiations under just and reasonable situation," he noted.

President Ahmadinejad: US, Israel not dare attack Iran

Kuala Lumpur, July 7, IRNA

The US and Israel would not dare attack Iran, said President Ahmadinejad of Iran in an interview to Malaysian media on Monday.

The Iranian president arrived in Kuala Lumpur earlier in the day to attend the sixth Summit of the Eight Islamic Developing Countries (D8) where he is expected to deliver a speech on Tuesday.

President Ahmadinejad made the remarks while responding a question on the US and Zionist regime's threats against Iran in an interview with the Malaysian official news agency (BERNAMA) and its state television.

The interview is expected to be broadcast on Monday night at Malaysia's local time.

"Not only the US and Israel, but a hundred others like them cannot attack Iran and they know it themselves," President Ahmadinejad stressed.

He added that US President George W. Bush "has had and still has many satanic and inhuman wishes including confrontation with Iran but none of his wishes have come true.

"They know the Iranian nation and are aware that they cannot talk to us with the language of force and threats. They must give in to the will of the Iranian nation." 1394**1412

Ahmadinejad: Zionist regime inherently doomed to annihilation

Kuala Lumpur, July 8, IRNA

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the Zionist regime is inherently doomed to annihilation and there is no need for Iranians to take action.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of D8 summit in Malaysia, he said the Zionists themselves are well aware of the fact that their time is over.

"They label us as aggressors but this is a big lie because the Iranian nation throughout the history never attacked any nation," he said.

The Zionists are assigned to commit crimes, threaten others and invade Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon as well as threaten Iran and Iraq, he said.

On current developments in Palestine, he said Iran has proposed a free referendum for all Palestinians around the world but the so-called advocates of democracy have opposed it, he said.

The Zionists are infidel and have no faith in religions, he said.

Ahmadinejad: All should urge US, UK to dismantle their nuclear weapons

Kuala Lumpur, July 8, IRNA

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the governments and nations should urge the US and Britain to annihilate their nuclear weapons.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the D8 summit in Malaysia, he said "Iran never yields to any illegal and unjust word, no matter it comes from group 5+1, 10+10 or 2+2. We call for dialogue and never makes demand beyond our legitimate rights." The fact is that no nations let alone Iranian nation trust them, he said, adding that to prove this claim "I advise them to hold referendum in the world to find out the realities." People in the US and Britain do not trust their governments, he said adding that "We think it is time for some governments to win confidence of the Iranian nation." "We hope they can make good on their misdeeds," he said.

"As I have already said the era of domination, unilateralism, discrimination and bullying is now over." "Why should the US administration be allowed to produce nuclear bombs and use it against people but other nations should be deprived of benefiting from peaceful nuclear energy?" he asked.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has time and again declared that Iran's nuclear activities are of peaceful nature, he said.

"The time is ripe for world nations to urge the US and UK to destroy their nuclear weapons and if this happens there will remain no concern about existence of nuclear weapons in the world," he said.

Khamenei aide: Iran to hit Tel Aviv and U.S. fleet in Gulf if attacked

www.chinaview.cn 2008-07-08 18:06:56

·Iran said Tuesday it would strike Tel Aviv and the U.S. fleet in the Gulf if it was attacked. ·It also warned the U.S. interests around the world would also be hit if Iran is attacked. ·Observers believe it is still possible the U.S. and Israel would attack Iranian targets.

    TEHRAN, July 8 (Xinhua) --

Iran would strike Tel Aviv and the U.S. fleet in the Gulf as a first response to any attack against the Islamic republic, an aide to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tuesday.

"The Zionist regime (Israel) is pressuring White House officials to prepare a military attack against Iran," Iran's ISNA news agency quoted Ali Shirazi, Khamenei's representative in the Revolutionary Guards navy division, as saying.

"If they commit such a silly move, Tel Aviv and the U.S. fleet in the Persian Gulf will be Iran's first targets and they will be burned with Iran's crushing response," Shirazi said.

He warned that the U.S. interests around the world would also be hit if Iran is attacked over its disputed nuclear activities.

"The first bullet fired by the United States at Iran will be followed by Iran's response of burning down its vital interests around the globe," Shirazi said.

"The Iranian nation will never accept bullying...(and) no forces in the world can confront it," he added.

Iran's English-language satellite channel Press TV reported earlier Tuesday that missile units of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have begun military maneuvers in the Gulf to improve combat readiness and capability.

The war games, called Payambar-e Azam 3, were conducted by missile units of the IRGC's naval and air forces, Press TV quoted local Mehr and Fars news agencies as saying.

The war games came after IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said in late June that Tehran would impose controls on shipping in the strategic Strait of Hormuz if it was attacked.

The United States and its allies have accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons under the cover of a civilian nuclear program. Iran has denied the U.S. charges and insists that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.

The Bush administration said it focused on diplomacy to try to resolve Iran's nuclear issue, but has insisted it will take "no option off the table."

Some observers believe that it is still possible that the United States and Israel would attack Iranian targets for Tehran's suspicious nuclear programs.
