3 Palestinian Fighters Killed, 5 Civilians Injured in Israeli Shelling of East Gaza City, Announcement of Killing Israeli Female Soldier

 

Israeli occupation forces tanks kill three Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli occupation forces tanks killed three Palestinian fighters in two separate attacks east of Gaza City on Tuesday, medical sources confirmed. Five Palestinians were injured in the shelling.

Medics said the slain fighters, Ahmed Al-Safadi, Yahya Hamid and Mustafa Atallah, were all in their twenties and were affiliated to Hamas' armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades.

Witnesses said the first burst of shelling targeted armed Palestinians near Al-Wafa Hospital, killing two and injuring three. The second attack was aimed at fighters stationed near a juice factory, killing one and injuring two

The remains of the dead Palestinians were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The Al-Qassam Brigades claimed to have fired 18 mortar rounds at the Nahal Oz area. Israeli media confirmed that 18 mortars landed in the area, causing no injuries or damage.

Israeli occupation troops shoot Palestinian man near Hebron

Israeli occupation soldiers shot a young Palestinian man in the feet at midnight on Monday near the West Bank village of Beit Ummar, near the city of Hebron, Israeli sources reported.

The Israeli occupation forces claimed that the man threw a Molotov cocktail at an Israeli occupation military position, provoking the shooting.

In a separate incident, An illegal Israeli settler's car was pelted with stones near the West Bank town of Tarqoumiya, west of Hebron. The car was reportedly damaged, although no one was injured.

Ahrar al-Jalil Brigades Kills Israeli soldier
   
Gaza, June 10, 2008, (RNA)-

Palestinian faction claimed responsibility of killing an Israeli female soldier and kidnapping her corps.
 
In a statement received by RNA, "Ahrar Al-Jalil Brigades" said that it killed an Israeli female soldier, Dana Binjamin, 24, on June 2, 2008.
 
The Brigades added that it issued a statement calling the Israelis for prisoners trade for her corps but the Israelis did not take it seriously.

An Israeli wounded with shrapnel of Palestinian home-made projectiles
   
Gaza, June 8, 2008 (RNA)-

An Israeli worker was lightly injured on Sunday as Palestinian hand-made projectile pounded the western "Negev" area, south of Israel, Israeli sources said.
 
The sources said that Palestinian gunmen fired at least 4 projectiles at the western Negev.
 
Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for targeting an Israeli military post east of Khanyounis city, south of the Gaza Strip.
 
In a statement received by RNA, the Brigades added that the shelling was a part of the retaliation for the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza and the West Bank. 

 Israeli occupation forces kidnap teenager at West Bank checkpoint

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped 17-year-old afternoon Ahmed Rashid Abdul Rahman Kaddoura at Azzoun checkpoint, east of the West Bank town of Qalqilia, on Tuesday afternoon.

Kaddoura's brother Rashid Kaddoura said that Israeli occupation troops detained his brother while he was attempting to reach Qalqilia, where he planned to do shopping related to his sister's graduation from university. Kaddoura said the reasons for the detention are not yet known.
