3 Palestinians Injured, 8 Kidnapped in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Forces on June 30, 2008

Israeli (occupation) forces seize (kidnap) two Palestinians during raid in Bethlehem

Israeli (occupation) forces invaded the center of the West Bank city of Bethlehem at 10 on Monday evening, seizing (kidnapping) two Palestinian men.

Israeli (occupation) military vehicles, including at least seven jeeps, three armored personnel carriers, an ambulance, a blue jeep marked “police,” and an unmarked white van entered the city.

Israeli (occupation) troops surrounded a house on As-Saf Street, ordering a large family in their bedclothes into the street. The (Israeli occupation) forces arrested (kidnapped) Hamdi Hasan and Hasan Hasan (both are in their twenties), first ordering them to remove their clothes in the street.

The two were handcuffed and taken away in separate jeeps. The soldiers blindfolded one man and pulled a sack over the other’s head.

During the raid, Israeli (occupation) soldiers blocked several streets, physically barring journalists from As-Saf Street.

The Israeli (occupation) troops withdrew at approximately 11:30. Palestinian children threw sporadic stones at the military vehicles. A few shouts of “Alla-u-akbar” (God is great) were heard in the night.

Two Palestinians seized (kidnapped) by Israeli (occupation) forces in Jenin area

Israeli (occupation) forces seized (kidnapped) two civilians during dawn raids in the West Bank city of Jenin and the nearby village of Ta’nak on Monday.

According to Palestinian security sources, Israeli (occupation) troops abducted -year-old Ghassan Abdel Wahab Zgheibi in the Al-Iskan area of the city and 25-year-old Imad Sadeq Zyoud in Ta’nak.

The two were among eight Palestinians who were detained by the Israeli (occupation) forces in the West Bank overnight.

Israeli (occupation) forces seized (kidnapped) eight Palestinians across the West Bank during raids on Sunday night and Monday morning.

In the northern West Bank city of Nablus, security sources told Ma'an's correspondent that ten Israeli (occupation) military jeeps entered the city at 2am. Local sources said the Israeli (occupation) troops stormed civilian houses in, including some in the Al-Qisarya neighborhood in Nablus' old city.

Israeli (occupation) troops abducted 29-year-old Ra’ed Zahran and his 15-year-old brother Bader Zahran from Fifteenth Street in the west of Nablus.

Separately Israeli (occupation) forces raided the village of Kafr Qalil, near Nablus. Palestinian sources said 17-year-old Ali Nasser Hussein Mansour and 18-year-old Ammar Samer Baker Mansour were detained.

According to Israeli sources, arrest (kidnapping) raids also took place in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and in the city of Jenin, in the north.

Israel currently holds more than 11,000 Palestinian prisoners.

11 (Israeli occupation forces) jeeps and two armoured personnel carriers invaded the city of Bethlehem

At least 8 Israeli (occupation) army jeeps and two armoured carriers invaded the city of Bethlehem on Monday night.

 Witnesses told IMEMC that soldiers are blocking streets in down town Bethlehem; four army vehicles have stormed the nearby Deheishe refugee camp. They added that local youth hurled stones at the attacking forces. The (occupation) army said that they are looking for Palestinian activists.

The Israeli army invades the city of Jenin and the villages of 'Arabeh and Ta'nak

At the break of dawn today the Israeli (occupation) army invaded the city of Jenin and the villages of 'Arabeh and Ta'nak north of the West Bank, during which they kidnapped two civilians and took them to unknown detention camps.

Sources reported that the Israeli (occupation) troops kidnapped 24 year old Imad Zibod from his house in Ta'nak village west of Jenin after an Israeli invasion of the city in the early hours of today. During a house search, the Israeli troops caused large damage, and forced all of its residents to leave. 

The victim's brother Tarek Zibod said that the Israeli (occupation) troops stole a sum money during the search. In the city of Jenin the Israeli military tanks swamped the streets of the city under immense gun fire before kidnapping 38 year old Ghassan Al-Zoghbi from the Isakan neighborhood.

While searching, the Israeli (occupation) troops searched the house of the lawyer Diya' Zoghbi used police dogs. Sources also said that at 3:00 am today the Israeli forces invaded the village of 'Arabeh and pulled out hours later with out any kidnappings being reported.

The Israeli (occupation) forces kidnap two civilians from Ramallah and Qalandiya refugee camp

The Israeli (occupation) troops kidnapped two civilians from Ramallah city and Qalandiya refugee camp north of Jerusalem; they also invaded the village of Remon and Bani Zeod near Rammallah.

Sources reported that the Israeli (occupation) army searched the Alwahdi building in Ramallah city where they kidnapped 37 year old Mahmoud Shamsaneh. They also kidnapped 27 year old Samer Sami in an invasion targeting Qalandiya Refugee camp.

The Israeli (occupation) troops invaded the villages of Remon and Bani Zeod located west of Rammallah, however no kidnappings were reported.

Three civilians wound in an Israeli attack on Hebron

Israeli (occupation) troops wounded three civilians during separate attacks on different places in Hebron city located in the south of the West Bank

Security sources reported that an unknown worker was bruised and left heavily bleeding while the Isreali (occupation) forces chased him on his way to work in Bier Sheva.  Sources also stated that Mojahed Abu Jahsheh was severely wounded in the head after to a car crash between the car he was driving and an Israeli military vehicle.

The car crash took place on the road that joins between the viallge of Idna and Deir Samat. The Israeli (occupation) troops positioned near the check point of Taramah village, south west of Hebron, assaulted the civilian Osama Gahanam and left him bruised. The Israeli (occupation) troops extended their military attack by closing off and putting up check points on the main roads of the city.

They also kidnapped tens of civilians and humiliated them. The Israeli (occupation) army also searched numerous houses, including one belonging to Yaser Omaro which is located in the Hawoz area south of the city.
