Yaqen.net reported the following Tuesday news:

- A US helicopter crashed over Al-Ta'mim neighborhood of Mosul today evening local time.

- US forces announced the death of a US soldier Saturday of wounds he sustained from a roadside bomb in Al-Anbar Province yesterday.
- 4 people were wounded of a blast targeting a police patrol in Al-'Amel neighborhood in Baghdad.
- 3 policemen were injured by a roadside bomb targeting their patrol east of Al-Falloujah.
- US forces announced that all the seven-member crew of the Fedex airplane which crashed east of Al-Falloujah were killed.
- Ata Ibrahim Hassan was killed by US soldiers in the village of Al-Malh, north of Biji. Four of his relatives were arrested.
- A body of a murdered man was found near Al-Sulaimaniya.
- Jawad Al-Bolani admitted that two years ago the Ministry of Interior was employing members from the Badr and Mahdy Army militias, who carried out the sectarian terror campaigns against Sunni Iraqis in a plan to force them out of their neighborhoods.

Talafar blast casualties up to 37

Saturday’s earlier car bomb attack casualties rose to nine deaths and 28 others wounded, according to an Iraqi police source.

Earlier, a security source said six civilians were killed and 17 others wounded when a car bomb ripped through Talafar district, west of Mosul city.

“A car bomb went off today in the area of al-Maarid in Talafar district, (60 km) west of Mosul, leaving six killed and 17 others injured, all of them civilians,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

“The casualties will most likely go up,” the source added, not giving more details.

5 killed, 20 wounded in car bombing in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

  Five people were killed, and 20 others were wounded when a car bomb went off near the National Theater in al-Karada neighborhood – Baghdad, a source from the Iraqi police said on Saturday.

“This is the preliminary casualties of the incident that took place on today’s evening,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

“10 cars were also burnt due to the explosion,” he added.

U.S. Soldier dies in non-combat related incident in western Iraq

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

A U.S. soldier died as a result of a non-combat related incident in western Thursday, raising the U.S. fatalities in November to seven, the U.S. army said on Friday.

“Coalition force Soldier died as a result of a non-combat related cause at approximately 11:52 a.m Nov. 13 in western Iraq,” according to a U.S. army statement received by Aswat al-Iraq.“The incident is currently under investigation,” it added.

The death brings the number of U.S. soldiers who have been reported killed in Iraq this month to seven, including four in non-combat incidents, and to 4,197 the number killed since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.

7 wounded in Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

Seven people were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in the northwestern Baghdad area of al-Atifiya on Saturday, police said.

“An IED went off at a crossroad in al-Atifiya on Saturday when a police patrol was passing by, leaving seven, including three patrolmen, wounded,” an Iraqi police source told Aswat al-Iraq.

“The explosion caused severe damage to the patrol vehicle,” the source added.

3 policemen wounded in blast near Falluja

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq:

Three policemen were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off east of Falluja city on Saturday, a police source in Anbar province said.

“A roadside IED went off near a police patrol in al-Haswa district, (20 km) east of Falluja, today, leaving three patrolmen injured and causing severe damage to the patrol vehicle,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

“The wounded security men were rushed to the Falluja Public Hospital for treatment,” he added.

Falluja, 45 km west of Baghdad, is the largest city of the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar. The province’s capital is Ramadi, 110 km west of Baghdad.

Editor's Note:

Only God knows how many Iraqis are killed everyday. The following represents part of the reporting but readers are advised that the actual number of deaths should very much exceed what's reported.

Concerning deaths of US soldiers, only those US citizens who die in Iraq are included in the statistics. There are no published statistics about US soldiers who die of their injuries after that. There are no published statistics about the deaths or injuries of the private army soldiers (security contractors), or about those without US citizenship.

It is noteworthy that May 20, 2008 news reports showed that death squads which execute Iraqis on daily basis are no longer hiding themselves. Previously, Sunni leaders pointed to Mahdi Army and Badr militiamen as the perpetrators. Now, death squads are composed of the US-recruited Sahwa fighters and policemen.

On September 6, 2008, news reports mentioned the killing of nine Iraqis who were arrested by Al-Muthanna Brigade of the Iraqi Army stationed in the city of Al-Falloujah. There corpses were found with bullets shot on their heads and chests. This incident is evidence that the sectarian-based Iraqi forces have been functioning also as death squads, which killed Iraqis for suspicion of belonging to resistance organizations, without any legal procedures or trials.

Despite the fact that there are scores of organizations involved in the Iraq war, the Iraqi government officials prefer to refer to them as Alqaeda gunmen for propaganda purposes, as mentioned in the June 4, 2008 news report. For accuracy purposes, the term "Alqaeda gunmen" may be replaced with "Iraqi fighters."

Finally, on daily basis, US-led forces arrest scores of Iraqis in an attempt to pre-empt them from resistance. Tens of thousands of Iraqis are still there in US detention camps and in the prisons of the US-backed Iraqi government.
