Israeli occupation forces kill 67-year-old Palestinian farmer near Jenin

Invading Israeli occupation soldiers shot and killed a 67-year-old Palestinian farmer in the northern West Bank town of Al-Yamun on Wednesday morning, witnesses said.

Witnesses said the man, Muhammad Abahra, heard noise near his agricultural storehouse, and as he went out with a hand lantern to check, he saw Israeli forces besieging the area and ransacking his neighbors’ homes. They immediately shot him dead.

The witnesses added that Israeli forces stormed several homes leaving Abahra to bleed to death.

Abahra’s son, Warrad was also killed by Israeli forces on 9 July 2005.

Separately Israeli occupation forces seized 11 Palestinians during overnight raids in Nablus, Qalqilia, Jenin and Ramallah in the West Bank. They claimed a Kalashnikov machinegun was found with one of the arrestees in Salfit in the northern West bank.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap three in Habla

Israeli occupation forces raided the West Bank town of Habla, near Qalqilia, at dawn on Wednesday and kidnapped three civilians after storming and searching houses and farm in the eastern area of the town.

Eyewitnesses reported that those occupation forces kidnapped 18-year-old Othman Omar Othman Kharroub, 18-year-old Mohammad Ridha Yousef Kharroub and 30-year-old Uqab Hamed Shawahnah, a member of the Palestinian intelligence services.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap four Palestinians in Nablus and Salfit

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped four young Palestinian men early on Wednesday morning, including a member of the Palestinian military intelligence services in Nablus and Salfit, in the northern West Bank.

Palestinian security sources told Ma’an that Israeli occupation forces raided Salfit and detained 27-year-old Mohammad Nimer Al-Hirin a member of the Palestinian military intelligence services who was released three months ago. He was arrested on the accusation of possessing a Kalashnikov rifle.
The forces also detained 22-year-old Islam Adham Sabra from the village of Bruqin, west of Salfit.

In the village of Az-Zawiya, Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped 17-year-old Adham Saber and destroyed a car belonging to resident Iyad Shuqeir.

The source confirmed that Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Nablus at 2am and detained 21-year-old Mujahid Isha from the old city.

Israel occupation forces prevent Palestinian MPs from leaving en route to Indonesia

Israel prevented three Palestinian members of parliament from leaving the West Bank en route to Indonesia on Wednesday, the lawmakers told Ma’an.

Bassim Za’arir and Abd Aj-Jaber Fuqaha’ and Muna Mansour, all members of the Palestinian Legislative Council, were refused permission to leave at the Allenby Bridge, the only border crossing available to Palestinians from the West Bank, the delegation’s spokesperson said.

Israeli officials cited “security reasons” in refusing to allow the men to travel.

“The delegation was en route to Indonesia following invitation of Indonesian committee to support Palestinian people to attend the international humanitarian conference to support victims of occupation in Palestine in the period between Friday 31 October and Sunday 2 November 2008,” the spokesperson added.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap civilian near Jenin

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a civilian near Jenin on Wednesday, security sources told Ma’an.

The resident of Al-Yamun, west of the West Bank city of Jenin, was transferred to an undisclosed location.

Securite sources also said that Israeli occupation forces raided the town at dawn Wednesday morning, storming a number of houses and detaining 23-year-old Shadid Adel Hamadiyah.

Israeli occupation forces kill an old Palestinian man in Jenin

The Israeli occupation forces shot dead on Wednesday morning an old Palestinian man in the West Bank city of Jenin, media sources and witnesses reported.

Witnesses said that Mohammad Abahra, 67, of the Yamoun town , west of Jenin city, was shot dead by the Israeli occupation soldiers, as he was checking on his live stock in the outskirts of his town.

Witnesses added that the Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire on Abahra, when the latter heard some noise around his house and livestock pen. When lit a torch and wanted to check on the area, the soldiers shot him dead instantly.

Medics confirmed that the a bullet penetrated his abdomen through his back.

Noteworthy, today's victim is the father of Warrad Abahra, a Palestinian residtance fighter of the Fatah's armed wing, Alaqsa Martyrs Brigades, who was assassinated three years ago by the Israeli military.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation troops detained early on Wednesday 11 Palestinian residents from the West Bank cities of Nablus, Qalqilia, Jenin and Ramallah.

Also, The Israeli occupation troops claimed they seized a Kalashnikov machine gun in the Salfiet city.
