OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

A member of the Jewish-controlled municipality of occupied Jerusalem has revealed that his municipal council was planning to settle more Jews illegally in occupied Palestinian East Jerusalem.

He told the Hebrew radio on Tuesday that the new scheme involves resettling Jewish families in houses controlled by the municipality in eastern Jerusalem in addition to Jewish institutions.

He said that the municipality would adopt legal and legislative measures to support the step, adding that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu was in full knowledge of all those steps.

In the Gaza Strip, tens of deaf girls staged a sit-in at the tomb of the unknown soldier in downtown Gaza on Monday to protest the Israeli occupation authority's judaization of Jerusalem.

The sit-in organized by the ministry of women affairs was attended by 40 deaf girls who expressed anger at the Arab and Islamic silence towards the judaization and demolition streak in occupied Jerusalem.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Shaikh Ekrema Sabri, the chairman of the higher Islamic authority, has asked Palestinian Muslims to frequent the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem during the fasting month of Ramadan expected to start by the end of this week.

He said in a statement on Monday that the citizens should seize the opportunity of the holy month to spend more times in the Aqsa and to defend it against dangers.

He advised citizens to attend sermons and prayers in the holy site.

The Shaikh asked the Arab and Islamic countries to intensify efforts and unite stands in the holy month to confront anti-Islam campaigns in the world and to work on spreading the teachings of Islam that are based on tolerance and respect to other holy religions.
