Saturday December 05, 2009 02:00 by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded on Friday at dawn the Nur Shams Refugee Camp, near the northern West Bank City of Nablus, broke into several homes and kidnapped one youth. A 75-year-old man moderately wounded in a separate attack near Tulkarem.

Local sources in Nour Shams reported that the army broke into the home of Mahmoud As’as, a former detainee, violently searched the home causing excessive damage, and kidnapped his 18-year-old brother, Ahmad.

In related news, a 75-man was moderately wounded on Thursday after being attacked by Israeli troops near Dir Al-Ghsoun village, north of Tulkarem in the northern part of the West bank.

The man was trying to enter his land isolated behind the Annexation Wall. He was identified as Ahmad Ghanim.

Local sources reported that Ghanim arrived at the Annexation Wall gate that separates the residents from their lands, and as he tried to cross through the gate the soldiers violently attacked him, struck him with their weapons and repeatedly punched him on his head.

The soldiers then left the old man bleeding without attempting to provide him with any first aid.

Ghanim managed to reach his donkey and headed to the entrance of his village where local residents rushed him to a nearby hospital. His injuries were described as moderate.

The attack was carried out despite the fact the man is 75 years old, and carried a special permit issued by the military allowing him to reach his isolated orchard.
