11 New Illegal Israeli Settlement Outposts in Defiance to the US and the World New outpost activity as a response to US pressure Tuesday July 28, 2009 10:51 by Katherine Orwell - 1 of International Middle East Media Center Editorial Group Illegal sraeli settler organizations, such as the Land of Israel, Faithful and the Youth for the Land of Israel, have been building 11 new outposts in the West Bank on Sunday and Monday, largely in a response to the visit of US special envoy George Mitchell. According to Israeli media dozens of settlers, predominantly teenagers, are now staying at a number of outposts that were constructed on Sunday and further expanded on Monday. Israeli occupation forces evacuated settlers from one of these sites on Sunday, but didn’t prevent them from coming back at night to continue building new structures. At a different location, illegal Israeli settlers tried to rebuild the Netzer outpost that has already been evacuated numerous times in the past. One settler was arrested for entering a closed military zones and two were detained for interrogation. At all the other locations the Israeli army didn't interfere to stop the illegal activity. The building of the new outposts was largely undertaken by Israeli minors. Israeli media even reported about 40 teenage girls that spent three days in the outpost of Ramat Migron last week, as "spiritual preparation" for the "relentless battle on the right to settle the Land of Israel" . "We've had girls here from Tel Aviv and Haifa, aged 13-18," one of the girls told Israeli media. "I don't know if I personally would live in an outpost, but it contributes to the entire people of Israel that the land is being settled," another 16-year-old girl from Tel Aviv stated. "For me it was fun to be in the open space." Illegal Israeli right-wing settlers are angry at the US for demanding that Israel stops all illegal settlement Construction. Illegal settlers in outposts, that are even considered illegal in Israeli law, feel that the evacuation of outposts is merely a political statement intended to please the US and that they should be allowed to build where ever they want. According to international law, any settlement activities in the occupied territories is illegal, as the law prohibits the occupying power from transferring its own population into the territories it occupies. Jewish settlers perform rituals in Al-Aqsa Mosque [ 28/07/2009 - 09:39 AM ] OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Al-Aqsal foundation for endowment and heritage said Monday that a group of Jewish extremists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and preformed bizarre rituals for a half hour at the closed triple door located in the southern side of the Mosque. The foundation stressed that this violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque refers to the level of danger threatening it. The foundation called, in a statement, on the Palestinian people in occupied Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied lands to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque through the day and night. It also appealed to the Arab and Islamic peoples to necessarily move to save Jerusalem and the holy Mosque from the Zionist threats.
