Zahalqa: Zionists must realise that we are the indigenous population

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Shaikh Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, has warned that the Israeli occupation government (IOG) had already started its plans of racial cleansing against Palestinians.

Salah told Al-Alam TV network on Friday that evidence on the ground reveal that the IOG was embarking on numerous steps that lead to racial cleansing against Palestinians in the 1948 occupied lands.

He charged that the steps were taken in line with a well prepared scheme.

Meanwhile, thousands of Palestinians attended the Friday congregation in the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem amidst noticeable tightened security measures where hundreds of Israeli occupation policemen were deployed at the gates of the Mosque and scrutinized IDs of citizens especially young men.

Citizens expressed dismay when Israeli intelligence agents stormed the holy site and roamed its various plazas and utilities.

Zahalqa: Zionists must realise that we are the indigenous population

UM AL-FAHEM, (PIC)--

Arab member of the Knesset, Jamal Zahlaqa,  head of the National Democratic Coalition, said that the statements made by the Israeli minister of housing regarding "expansion of Arab communities in the north" mean that the Israeli government wants to force us into confrontation.

Speaking at an Israeli Bar Association conference in Tel Aviv, Housing and Construction Minister Ariel Atias, expressed concern over expansion of Arab communities in "northern Israel".

He said that Israel was "losing the Glilee [al-Jalil]", adding that bringing haredim (ultra orthodox Jews) was a national mission to stop the expansion of Arab communities in the north.

He also said that Arabs living in Jewish neighbourhoods causes friction and sited the events that took place in Akka.

Zahalqa commented on Atias's statements by saying that if the expansion of our community worries the racists then we are on the right path.

He added that Atias and his ilk should know that we are the indigenous population of this land, we multiply and build on our own land, "we have not stolen someone else's land like his state it did," added Zahalqa.

"Atias's statements suggest that the Israeli government is imposing on us a confrontation, we have no choice but to confront such racist policies and defend our homes, land and rights," Zahalqa said.

He pointed out that the land which Atias is suggesting to sell to Arabs, secularists and haredim is Arab land stolen from its original owners.
