6 Iraqis Killed, 23 Injured, Hareth Al-Dhari Announced as Political Representative of the Resistance

- Three Iraqi armed resistance groups announced that Shaikh Hareth Al-Dhari is their representative for political communications and negotiations. Among them was the Jihad and Development organization.

- A US patrol was attacked with a hand grenade in Mosul and a US contracting company was attacked with four rockets northwest of Kut.

Baghdad blast casualties reach 17

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

Casualties from the explosive charge blast that ripped through the Iraqi capital earlier today have reached 17, according to a police source.

“The toll from the explosion has risen to four dead and 13 wounded, all civilians,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. Earlier today, a security source said that an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near a vegetables store in Alwat al-Rasheed market, southern Baghdad, killing two persons and wounding 10 others.

IED kills 2, wounds 10 in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

Two civilians on Monday were killed and 10 others were wounded in an explosive charge blast in the capital Baghdad, according to a security source.

“An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near a vegetables store in Alwat al-Rasheed market, southern Baghdad, killing two persons and wounding 10 others,” an Interior Ministry source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
