Bethlehem - Ma'an/Agencies -

Three Palestinians trapped for five days in a tunnel between the Gaza-Egypt border were rescued on Saturday, officials said.

The tunnel had collapsed as a result of an Israeli bombardment on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, de facto Palestinian government sources said two Palestinians were killed and four others were missing in an unrelated collapse on Saturday.

At least 100 Palestinians have been killed in tunnel collapses since Israel began its crippling blockade on the Strip following Hamas' takeover in 2007.

The Quds Brigades announced that two of its fighters were killed Friday morning during a resistance mission east of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, while the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades announced that its fighters destroyed an Israeli occupation jeep on Friday afternoon to the East of Gaza City.

The Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said, in a statement on Friday, that the martyrs were Yasin Jaser (19 years) and Abdel-Majid Saleh (19 years), both of them residents of the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.

The IOF had earlier announced that two resistance fighters were killed to the east of the city of Rafah after a clash with the IOF troops as the two approached the border fence.

Meanwhile, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced that its fighters, Friday afternoon, destroyed an IOF jeep by detonating a road-side bomb to the east of Gaza City.

Eyewitnesses said that a bomb went of when an IOF convoy passed near the Martyrs cemetery to the east of Gaza City. They added that clashes ensued and IOF reinforcements, including two tanks and a military ambulance arrived at the scene.

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, for its part, said in a statement that its fighters targeted an IOF military jeep at 12:30 Friday and clashed with the IOF troops using machine guns and mortars.
