OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

The Zionist occupation municipality of Jerusalem handed on Tuesday new demolition orders to Palestinian owners of homes that were built without a permit.

Local sources in Jerusalem said that 17 such orders have been issued to Palestinian residents in the neighbourhoods of Al-Shqareyya, Beit Hanina, Shu'afat, 'Eisawiya and Jabal al-Mukabber, adding that lawyers are working to get court orders to stop or freeze the demolition orders.

The sources added that lawyers succeeded in some previous cases to get a freeze on the demolition orders provided the owners start the process of getting building permits.

These demolition orders are part of the Israeli occupation authorities' policy of Judaizing Jerusalem through making it extremely difficult for Palestinians to get building permits to force them to move out of the city and demolishing the homes of those who take the risk and build without permits.
