[ 15/11/2009 - 09:42 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)--

The international anti-globalization movement is planning a massive solidarity march on 27/12/2009 that would start in Cairo and end in the Gaza Strip with the participation of former presidents Jimmy Carter of the USA and Nelson Mandela of South Africa.

The movement, which is also against Zionist hegemony (of the world system), said in a press release on Saturday said that the event was dubbed "The Big Freedom" march and would carry the slogan of "Gaza the world conscience".

150 international and human rights organizations are expected to take part in the march that aims at shedding light on the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip as a result of the war and siege.

The movement pointed out that Hollywood stars, international figures and lawmakers from various countries would also attend the event.

A number of rallies, peaceful demonstrations and activities would be organized in Europe and North and South America on the first anniversary of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the movement concluded.
