Mesha'al calls for granting civil rights to Palestinian refugees in Lebanon

BEIRUT, (PIC)--

Khaled Mesha'al, the top Hamas leader, asked Lebanese president Michel Sulaiman and his premier Sa'ad Al-Hariri, to grant civil rights for Palestinian refugees residing in Lebanon.

Ezzet Al-Resheq, political bureau member of Hamas, said that a delegation of the Movement headed by Mesha'al conferred with Sulaiman and Hariri on Friday on the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, whom Mesha'al described as guests in Lebanon.

He added that the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people and the threats to occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque were also tackled.

Resheq said that the delegates affirmed Hamas's refusal of the settlement of refugees in host countries.

Mesha'al explained his Movement's stance regarding the national reconciliation efforts and the importance of ending internal Palestinian division the soonest to confront challenges facing the Palestine cause and people, Resheq elaborated.

He noted that the Lebanese officials reiterated their backing of the Palestinian people and their just rights, and called for ending the internal rift.
