Bethlehem – Ma’an –

Israel’s channel 10 News said nine Palestinians were kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces during overnight raids in the West Bank, with Palestinian security sources confirming the detention of two men in raids on Nablus.

Israeli sources said the nine were "wanted," and noted two of the men were from Nablus, two from Ramallah, and five from Bethlehem. They were all taken for questioning, the report said.

Palestinian security sources said several Israeli occupation forces vehicles stormed Nablus from the Huwwara military checkpoint at 1:30am, entering several neighborhoods and ultimately kidnapping Asid Al-Junaid from the Kamal Jenblat area, and Khalil Abdul Aziz Jibrin from Rafedia.

Wednesday January 20, 2010 17:44 by Ghassan Bannoura - IMEMC News & Agencies

Two Palestinian civilians were kidnapped on Wednesday by Israeli occupation forces during an invasion targeting the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed parts of the city and searched homes before they took the two men away.

The army said that the two were taken to military detention camp for questioning. The military claims the two are on its "Wanted list."

Since Monday, Israeli troops have kidnapped 27 Palestinian civilians during pre-dawn invasions targeting West Bank communities under the same claims.

Last week the Israeli occupation forces conducted at least 23 military incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank. During those attacks troops kidnapped 28 civilians, including 9 children.
