WASHINGTON, April 15, 2016 —

President Barack Obama’s national security advisor spelled out America’s whole-of-government strategy against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant during a speech at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, yesterday.

“It is a complex effort,” the national security advisor said. “It will not be accomplished fully in just a few weeks or months, or even a few years. But day by day, mile by mile, strike by strike, we are making substantial progress. And … we’re going to keep up the momentum.”

Rice detailed the coalition’s plans to continue the pressure on ISIL, beginning with continuing to hammer at the terrorist organization in Iraq and Syria -- the so-called core ISIL. Coalition forces have conducted more than 11,500 strikes against core ISIL since starting operations in 2014, she said.

Strikes in Iraq

Attack, fighter and ground attack aircraft conducted 30 strikes in Iraq, coordinated with and in support of Iraq’s government:

-- Near Hit, three strikes struck a large ISIL tactical unit and destroyed 18 ISIL boats, an ISIL command and control node and an ISIL weapons cache and denied ISIL access to terrain.

-- Near Kisik, a strike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL tunnel system.

-- Near Mosul, 21 strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit, 18 ISIL modular oil refineries and two ISIL crude oil stills and destroyed an ISIL assembly area.

-- Near Qayyarah, a strike destroyed 33 ISIL boats.

-- Near Sultan Abdallah, three strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL assembly area, an ISIL fighting position, an ISIL mortar cache and an ISIL mortar system.

-- Near Tal Afar, a strike suppressed an ISIL mortar position.

Strikes in Iraq

Attack, ground-attack and fighter aircraft conducted 17 strikes in Iraq, coordinated with and in support of Iraq’s government:

-- Near Hit, four strikes struck three separate ISIL tactical units, destroying four ISIL machine gun positions, an ISIL boat, an ISIL boat dock, seven ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL vehicle and an ISIL command and control node and denying ISIL access to terrain.

-- Near Kisik, two strikes struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed an ISIL fighting position and an ISIL bunker.

-- Near Mosul, three strikes struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed four ISIL assembly areas, an ISIL vehicle-borne bomb, and an ISIL storage facility.

An informed source in Nineveh Province announced on Thursday, that 23 ISIS fighters were either killed or wounded by an air strike conducted by the international coalition aviation on al-Hamdaniyah District in northern Mosul, while pointed out to the destruction of a number of ISIS vehicles.

The source said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition aircraft bombed a gathering belonging to ISIS in the village of Kbrli in Hamdaniyah District in northern Nineveh.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The air strike resulted in the killing of 13 ISIS militants and injury of 10 others, as well as destructing six vehicles belonging to ISIS members.”

Mosul hospitals receives more than 500 ISIS bodies during Nineveh operations

Nineveh Operations Command announced, that the hospitals of Nineveh Province have received more than 500 bodies of ISIS fighters during the military operations taking place south of Mosul.

The commander of Nineveh Liberation Operations, Maj. Gen. Najm al-Jubouri, said in press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Nineveh hospitals received more than 500 bodies of ISIS fighters during the military operations south of the province, especially in Qayyarah,” noting that, “We will resume the military operations when more military troops arrive to sustain the momentum of the military operations, as well as securing the liberated areas.”

Jubouri added, “ISIS left dozens of bodies during the military operations in the liberated areas,” indicating that, “The international coalition aircraft backed the military operations and carried out more than 52 air strikes during the battles.”

A source in Nineveh Liberation Operations Command announced on Monday, that 23 ISIS militants were either killed or wounded by an Iraqi air strike north of Mosul.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Iraqi aircraft bombed ISIS gatherings in Balawat village in Hamadaniya District (30 km north of Mosul), killing nine ISIS fighters and injuring 14 others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “The bombing also resulted in the burning and destruction of three ISIS vehicles.”

25 ISIS fighters killed by coalition bombardment south of Mosul

A source in Nineveh Operations Command announced on Saturday, that 25 ISIS fighters were killed by an aerial bombardment south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad).

The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “Today the international coalition aircraft targeted two headquarters belonging to ISIS in the villages of al-Haj Ali and al-Mahana in Makhmur District (80 km south of Mosul), killing 25 ISIS members.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added, “The aerial bombing also resulted in the complete destruction of the two headquarters.”

15 ISIS fighters killed in artillery shelling in Makhmur District

A security source in Nineveh Province announced on Friday, that 15 members of the so-called ISIS were killed and others were wounded in an artillery shelling targeted ISIS headquarters in Makhmur District south of Mosul, while indicated that the shelling also destructed three ISIS headquarters.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition artillery bombed three headquarters belonging to ISIS in the village of al-Nasser in Makhmur District south of Mosul.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The shelling resulted in the killing of 15 ISIS fighters, while wounded dozens of them.”

Security forces kill 40 ISIS fighters south of Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – A source in the leadership of Nineveh Liberation Operations announced on Thursday, that the security forces destructed a tunnel connecting between two villages south of Mosul, and killed 40 ISIS fighters.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition aircraft bombed, before noon today, a tunnel used by ISIS militants to move between the villages of Mawazin and al-Nasser south of Mosul, killing 40 ISIS fighters and completely destructing the tunnel.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “The tunnel was used by ISIS to transport car bombs and chlorine gas.”

كما قتل واصيب 8 من ميليشيا مايعرف بالحشد الشعبي ، اليوم الجمعة ، اثر اشتباكات جرت شمال مدينة الفلوجة بمحافظة الانبار .
بينما كشفت مصادر صحفية من داخل مدينة الفلوجة ، اليوم الجمعة ،عن تسجيل حالات انتحار في مناطق مختلفة من المدينة خلال الاسابيع الماضية بعد نفاذ كل شيء مخزون لديهم حتى النباتات والأعشاب.
 
بغداد :قتل واصيب 20 من الجيش الحكومي ، اليوم الجمعة ، اثر انفجار عبوة ناسفة على عجلة كانت تقلهم جنوب العاصمة بغداد .
بينما قتل واصيب اربعة من الشرطة الحكومية ، اليوم الجمعة ، اثر انفجار عبوة ناسفة على دورية لهم اثناء مرورها في منطقة تقع جنوبي العاصمة بغداد بحسب مصدر حكومي .

كما قتل واصيب تسعة اشخاص ، اليوم الجمعة ، اثر انفجار عبوة ناسفة بالقرب من احد الاسواق الشعبية الواقعة شمالي العاصمة بغداد .

فساد حكومي :اقر مستشار المكتب السياسي للحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني "عارف رشدي"أن رئيس كردستان العراق "مسعود البارزاني" أحال 20 ملفا متعلقا بقضايا فساد إلى هيئة نزاهة الحالية للتحقيق فيها، مبينا أن تلك الملفات تعود لمسؤولين كبار في كردستان .
