Hundreds of Syrians Killed Daily By Regime Forces, US Air Strikes, Faction Fighting

The following are news stories from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) website (http://www.syriahr.com/en/):

21 were killed on March 23, 2018, including 7 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and 5 citizens

SOHR, 24/03/2018

In Rif Dimashq Province 4 citizens were killed in the intense bombardment by warplanes after midnight on Douma city, which is under the control of Jaysh al-Islam in the northern part of the Eastern Ghouta.

In Idlib Province a citizen was killed as a result of bombardment by warplanes on areas in Ma’arrat Mesrin town.

Also unidentified gunmen assassinated 4 fighters of al-Sham Corps in an attack on their headquarters in Al-Ghassaniya in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city.

And 7 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen were killed as a result of the shelling and clashes with the “Islamic State” organization and the factions.

At least 5 fighters of the “Islamic State” organization and the factions of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and shelling of warplanes and helicopters and shelling on their areas of presence.

366 people were killed on March 22, 2018, including 152 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and 132 civilians were killed in aerial and artillery shelling on the Eastern Ghouta and the countryside of Idlib and by fall of shells on Damascus

It increased to 133, including 1 fighters, the number of those who joined on Thursday the Convoy of Syrian Revolution Martyrs

In the province of Rif Dimashq, 82 citizens were killed. They are 37 citizens including women and children who were killed in aerial shelling on Arbin city, and 7 citizens including 2 women were killed in airstrikes and rocket shelling on Douma city, and 3 citizens including a woman died affected by injuries they had earlier in shelling on Douma, and 25 citizens including women and children were killed in aerial shelling Zamlka city, and 10 citizens including 1 children and 2 women were killed in aerial shelling on Ein Tarma.

In the province of Idlib, 43 people were killed including 17 children and 2 women in Harem Massacre in the northern countryside of Idlib as result of aerial shelling by warplanes believed to be Russian.In the province of Rif Dimashq, 7 citizens were killed in the fall of shells on areas in the center of the capital Damascus. In the province of Homs, a fighter of the factions was killed by the regime’s sniper bullets in south Talbisah area north of Homs.  the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that the number of the members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them has increased to 485 at least, including 58 members at least of non-Syrian nationalities, and the total death toll includes more than 90 officers of different ranks from lieutenants to brigadiers.

While it has increased to 310 at least, the number of the fighters of Al-Rahman Corps, Jaysh Al-Islam, Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, who have been killed since the start of fighting on the 25th of February 2018, most of them are of the fighters of Al-Rahman Corps, and the SOHR also learned that there are tens of missing people and injuries in the ranks of the both parties. And 5 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen were killed as a result of the shelling and clashes with the “Islamic State” organization and the factions.At least 6 fighters of the “Islamic State” organization and the factions of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and shelling of warplanes and helicopters and shelling on their areas of presence.

46 were killed on March 21, 2018, including 8 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and 34 citizens

SOHR, 22/03/2018

In Idlib Province 21 citizens were killed, they are: a man was killed when helicopters dropped barrel bombs on areas in Jisr Al-Shughur city, and 20 citizens including 16 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by warplanes on Kafr Batikh area.

In Rif Dimashq Province 13 citizens were killed, they are 5 citizens including 3 members of the Civil Defense, were killed in shelling by the regime forces that targeted areas in Douma city, and 8 citizens including 2 children and 2 women were killed in bombing by warplanes on Ein Tarma.

And 8 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen were killed as a result of the shelling and clashes with the “Islamic State” organization and the factions.

At least 4 fighters of the “Islamic State” organization and the factions of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and shelling of warplanes and helicopters and shelling on their areas of presence. 

131 were killed on March 20, 2018, including 37 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and 309 fighters of the regime forces and their allied militiamen and the factions were killed in the Eastern Ghouta

SOHR, 21/03/2018

It increased to 55, the number of those who joined on Monday the Convoy of Syrian Revolution Martyrs

In Rif Dimashq province, 46 citizens were killed. They are 37 citizens including 10 children and 5 citizens who were killed by aerial shelling that targeted Douma city, and 9 citizens including 2 children, who were killed in shelling by warplanes before noon on Harasta city.

In Hama province, 9 civilians were killed. they are a women and her child, another child, in addition to 2 sibling children and another woman with three of her children, who come from the eastern countryside of Hama, who were all killed by shelling of warplanes on a camp in the vicinity of Hass town, in the southwestern countryside of Ma’rat Al-No’aman city in the southern part of the countryside of Idlib

 The SOHR documented the death of 34 people. They are 32 civilians including 8 women and children and 11 members of the militiamen loayl to the regime forces, who were killed as result of fall of shells on Al-Qashqoul area, in the largest death toll in 5 years.

It has increased to at least 292, the number of members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian nationalities, who were killed in the violent battles, among them there are more than 70 officers of different ranks, while at least 46 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in the same clashes, while it has increased to at least 235, the number of fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions operating in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, who were killed in violent battles there, which were also accompanied by shelling, aerial bombardment, shelling of barrel bombs and the regime forces on the area.

It has increased to at least 62, the death toll, which comes after the death of 26 members of the militiamen loyal to the regime forces who were missing in south of Damascus during the attack of ISIS.

 And 5 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen were killed as a result of the shelling and clashes with the “Islamic State” organization and the factions.

At least 7 fighters of the “Islamic State” organization and the factions of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and shelling of warplanes and helicopters and shelling on their areas of presence.

120 people were killed on March 19, 2018, including 49 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and 61 civilians were killed in shelling by the warplanes and the regime forces and other circumstances

It increased to 59, the number of those who joined on Monday the Convoy of Syrian Revolution Martyrs

In the province of Rif Dimashq, 55 citizens were killed. They are 21 citizens including 2 women and 3 children who were killed in aerial shelling on Douma city, and 20 citizens, who are 16 children and 4 women who were killed in airstrikes by warplanes believed to be Russian on areas in Harasta city, and 7 citizens including a child were killed in aerial shelling on areas in Ein Tarma town, and 3 citizens were killed in shelling by warplanes on areas in Arbin city.

In Damascus province, a woman citizen and her child were killed by rocket shelling on areas in the neighborhoods of Al-Dawil and Al-Shaghour in the outskirts of the capital Damascus.

In Homs province, a child was killed in shelling by the regime forces on places in Al-Houla area located in the northern countryside of Homs.

In Hasaka province, a young man was killed in targeting by the Turkish border guards in the countryside of Ras Al-Ain city (Seri Kanye) during his presence on the Syrian side practicing his daily work.

the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Islamic State” organization executed 2 young men in the capital Damascus, by firing at them, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Organization executed 2 young men by shooting at them using by war guns, after they were dressed in the “orange dress” in al-Hajar al-Aswad area which is under control of ISIS south of Damascus, and the execution took place amid the gathering of tens of citizens who witnessed the execution, both of them were charged with “apostasy.”

 And 49 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen were killed as a result of the shelling and clashes with the “Islamic State” organization and the factions.

At least 10 fighters of the “Islamic State” organization and the factions of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and shelling of warplanes and helicopters and shelling on their areas of presence.

OIR Officials Report Details of Latest Strikes Against ISIS in Syria, Iraq

From a Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve News Release

SOUTHWEST ASIA, March 23, 2018 —

Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve and its partners continued to strike Islamic State of Iraq and Syria targets in designated parts of Syria and Iraq between March 16-22, conducting 14 strikes consisting of 19 engagements.

Strikes in Syria

Yesterday in Syria, coalition military forces conducted three strikes consisting of six engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Abu Kamal, two strikes engaged two ISIS tactical units.

-- Near Shadaddi, a strike destroyed an ISIS-held building.

On March 21, coalition military forces conducted a strike consisting of one engagement against ISIS targets near Abu Kamal. The strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit.

On March 20, coalition military forces conducted a strike consisting of two engagements against ISIS targets near Abu Kamal. The strike destroyed an ISIS staging area and a weapons cache.

On March 19, coalition military forces conducted three strikes consisting of three engagements against ISIS targets near Abu Kamal. The strike engaged two ISIS tactical units and destroyed a vehicle-borne-bomb factory.

There were no reported strikes in Syria on March 18.

On March 17, coalition military forces conducted a strike consisting of two engagements against ISIS targets near Abu Kamal. The strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS-held building and a weapons cache.

There were no reported strikes in Syria on March 16.

Strikes in Iraq

Yesterday, coalition military forces conducted a strike consisting of one engagement against ISIS targets near Tal Afar. The strike destroyed an ISIS tunnel.

There were no reported strikes conducted in Iraq on March 20-21.

On March 19, coalition military forces conducted two strikes consisting of two engagement against ISIS targets:

-- Near Hawijah, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS cave..

-- Near Qayyarah, a strike destroyed an ISIS-held building.

There were no reported strikes conducted in Iraq on March 18.

On March 17, coalition military forces conducted three strikes consisting of three engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Hawijah, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS facility.

-- Near Ramadi, a strike destroyed an ISIS underground storage facility.

There were no reported strikes in Iraq on March 16.

Additional Strikes in Iraq

On March 11, coalition military forces conducted two strikes consisting of three engagements against ISIS targets near Makhmour. The strikes engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS tunnel network.
