Iranian-Backed 'Hashd militias control the Iraqi-Syrian border, part of the Iranian-US rivalry of influence.  إيران وميليشياتها يسيطران على الحدود العراقية السورية 29 يناير 2019 ، يقين تتبادل القوات التابعة للحشد الشعبي في العراق، الأدوار مع إيران ذات العلاقة الوطيدة مع قادة تلك الفصائل والموالية لها منذ تأسيسها ، في تنفيذ عملية دعائية واسعة النطاق، هادفة لتأكيد الحضور على الأراضي العراقية والسورية، والإمساك بمناطق ذات أهميّة في صراع النفوذ، على غرار منطقة الحدود بين سوريا والعراق، والتي قفزت إلى صدارة الاهتمام مع بروز ملامح توجّه إيراني لإنشاء محور طويل مفتوح يصل طهران بضفة المتوسّط تتعرّض مواقع عسكرية إيرانية لقصف من قبل “إسرائيل” التي تؤكّد إصرارها على التصدّي لأي تمركز لقوات إيرانية أو لفصائل تابعة لإيران في سوريا، حيث وسّعت “تل أبيب” تهديدها ليشمل الأراضي العراقية، متوعّدة أي فصائل موجودة على تلك الأراضي تكون لها صلة بتمرير السلاح والمقاتلين إلى سوريا ولحزب الله اللبناني. ومؤخرا تحدثّت مصادر عراقية عن “إبلاغ وزير الخارجية الأميركي “مايك بومبيو” الحكومة العراقية إنذارا بنيّة إسرائيل مهاجمة أهداف على أرض العراق تابعة لفصائل مسلحة تقاتل في سوريا، وأنّ واشنطن لن تستطيع أن تقف إلى الأبد في وجه تلك الرغبة الإسرائيلية”. ويحقّق جرّ العراق ليصبح طرفا في “معركة” ضدّ الولايات المتّحدة وإسرائيل، مصلحة كبرى لطهران التي يبدو أنها أوكلت للحشد الشعبي مهمّة الزجّ بالبلد في تلك المعمعة. وقال قائد عمليات الحشد الشعبي لمحور غرب محافظة الأنبار غربي العراق، “قاسم مصلح” في تصريح صحفي ، إنّ” قواته مستعدة لمطاردة “داعش” داخل الأراضي السورية “، مبينا إنّ “قوات الحشد الشعبي المنتشرة على طول الشريط الحدودي مع سوريا أكملت كافة استعادتها لاقتحام مناطق ارتكاز داعش داخل العمق السوري قرب الشريط الحدودي مع العراق وتحريرها من التنظيم “. وأنشئ “الحشد الشعبي”، المكوّن أساسا من عشرات الآلاف من المقاتلين “الشيعة” وتنضوي تحته العشرات من الميليشيات، سنة 2014 على عجل استنادا إلى فتوى من المرجع في العراق “علي السيستاني”، عرفت بفتوى “الجهاد الكفائي”، وذلك بغرض التصدّي لتنظيم “داعش” الذي غزا في تلك السنّة مناطق شاسعة بشمال وغرب العراق، حتى أصبح على مشارف العاصمة بغداد في ظلّ انهيار غير متوقّع للقوات العراقية المشتركة . وفتح إعلان الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب مؤخّرا عن نيّته سحب قوّات بلاده من سوريا فصلا جديدا في صراع النفوذ الذي تشارك إيران في خوضه، وذلك بالتوازي مع العقوبات الشديدة ، ويخيّم الظلام مبكرا على هذه البلدة، إذ إنّ من تبقى من ساكنيها يطفئون مصابيح بيوتهم ليلا، حتى لا يعرف أحد أنها مسكونة خوفاً من الاستهداف، ليكون الليل صامتا لا تسمع فيه إلّا قذائف الهاون التي تسقط هنا وهناك. وأكدت مصادر صحفية مطلعة في تصريح لها أن ” مايحدث في قرية المخيسة أصبح مشهد معتاداً في هذه البلدة الصغيرة التي يحيطها نهر ديالى من جانبها الشرقي وتحاصرها بساتين الحمضيات التي هجرها أصحابها بعدما انتشرت فيها عناصر الأمن والمليشيات المسلحة ” ، مبينة أنه ” على ما يبدو أنّ البلدة معرضة للإبادة، كما يقول أهلها ، إن القوات الأمنية ومليشيات الحشد تنتشر في شوارع البلدة بشكل يومي، ويقولون إنّ خلايا داعش تنتشر في البساتين “. وأضافت نقلا عن اهالي القرية قولهم ، أن “الأوراق اختطلت علينا، ولا نعلم ماذا يحصل، حيث إنّنا نسمع اشتباكات متقطعة في بساتيننا، وقذائف هاون بين فترة وأخرى، لكنّنا لا نعلم من الذي يطلقها، ومن المستهدف، حيث إنّ عددا منها سقط على المنازل ، مما اضطرينا لخراج جزءا من العوائل وبقاء كبار السن في المنازل خوفا من السرقة، فالبلدة أصبحت مخيفة جدّا”. وتابعت أن ” الأجهزة الأمنية تتكتم عمّا يجري في المخيسة لكنّها تضطر أحيانا إلى الحديث عن خلايا “داعش”، ونشاطها في القرية ” ، موضحة أن “المخيسة من البلدات التي تعيش وضعا مأساويا، فعشرات العائلات اضطرت إلى ترك البلدة، بسبب وضعها الأمني المتردي، حيث أنّ خلايا داعش تنشط بأطرافها، لكن في الوقت ذاته فصائل من المليشيات تضغط على أهلها عبر القصف بالهاونات” ، مبينة أن “هناك محاولات للتغيير الديموغرافي في البلدة، وبحاجة إلى تدخل الحكومة بشكل مباشر، وإرسال قوات خاصة لحماية القرية “. من جانبه أكد عضو البرلمان عن محافظة ديالى  “رعد الدهلكي ” في تصريح صحفي ، أنّ “قذائف الهاون التي تسقط على المخيسة، تطلق من قرى مجاورة لها خاضعة لسيطرة المليشيات، وتحاول تلك المليشيات بسط سيطرتها على باقي المناطق “، مؤكدا ، إنّ “هناك مخاوف من تكرار التطهير العرقي والطائفي، كما حصل عام 2007”. بدورها، قالت عضو البرلمان عن المحافظة “ناهدة الدايني” في تصريح مماثل ، إنّ “الأوضاع تنذر بعواقب وخيمة، في ظل ارتفاع واضح بأعمال العنف”، متسائلة “إلى متى تبقى الحكومة صامتة عن نزيف الدماء؟”. وشدّدت على أن “عبد المهدي يتحمل مسؤولية هذه الأحداث، لعدم استجابته Iraqi airstrike kills three Islamic State militants in Kirkuk

Iraqi warplanes killed on Wednesday three Islamic State militants in the oil-rich province of Kirkuk, a military spokesman was quoted as saying.

“Acting on accurate intelligence reports, Iraqi jet fighters targeted three terrorists riding a motorbike in al-Mahkour village in Kirkuk,” Alghad Press quoted spokesman for the Security Media Center Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasool as saying.

“The airstrike left the terrorists dead,” added the spokesman.

The Islamic State group appeared on the international scene in 2014 when it seized large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria, declaring the establishment of an Islamic “caliphate” from Mosul city.

Later on, the group has become notorious for its brutality, including mass killings, abductions and beheadings, prompting the U.S. to lead an international coalition to destroy it.

Iraqi warplanes kill four Islamic State militants in Anbar

Four Islamic State militants were killed Sunday in an air raid that was launched by the Iraqi Air Force in Anbar province, a security source was quoted as saying.

Speaking to Almaalomah news website, the source said, “Iraqi warplanes targeted an armored vehicle carrying foodstuffs, ammunition and explosive belts of Islamic State in the desert of Ar-Rutbah district, west of Anbar.”

“The airstrike left four Islamic State terrorists killed,” the source said, adding that the operation was launched upon accurate intelligence reports.

Iraq declared the collapse of Islamic State’s territorial influence in November 2017 with the recapture of Rawa, a city on Anbar’s western borders with Syria, which was the group’s last bastion in Iraq.

IS declared a self-styled “caliphate” in a third of Iraq and neighboring Syria in 2014. A government campaign, backed by a U.S.-led international coalition and paramilitary forces, was launched in 2016 to retake IS-held regions, managing to retake all havens, most notably the city of Mosul, the group’s previously proclaimed capital.

Islamic State, however, continues to launch sporadic attacks across Iraq against troops. Security reports indicate that the militant group still poses a threat against stability in the country.

Five IS leaders killed during reconnaissance operation in Anbar

An Iraqi military commander has said that five leaders of Islamic State have been killed during a reconnaissance operation in the western province of Anbar.

Speaking to IKH News website on Saturday, Commander of Anbar Operations Major General Mahmoud al-Falahi said that Iraqi warplanes were on a reconnaissance mission in Anbar’s western desert when they spotted a pickup truck carrying five Islamic State leaders.

He added that the troops immediately opened fire at the terrorists, killing them all.

“The troops also seized three explosive belts and a huge amount of weapons and ammunition during the operation,” he noted.

Iraqi warplanes kill four Islamic State extremists in Diyala

Four Islamic State militants were killed Tuesday in an air raid that was launched by the Iraqi Air Force to target terrorist hotbeds in Diyala, a well-placed provincial official said.

“Iraqi warplanes targeted several hotbeds of Islamic State in Balkana village, 90km northeast of Baqubah, leaving four IS extremists killed,” Sadeq al-Husseini, the head of Diyala provincial council’s security committee, told the Baghdad Today news website.

Al-Husseini added that several airstrikes were launched over the past period across the rugged terrain in Diyala to target Islamic State militants, who are still active in some villages.

The Islamic State group appeared on the international scene in 2014 when it seized large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria, declaring the establishment of an Islamic “caliphate” from Mosul city.

Iraqi troops kill senior Islamic State leader, arrest 17 others in Mosul

Iraqi security forces killed on Sunday a senior Islamic State leader and arrested 17 others during a security campaign in Nineveh province.

“Troops of the Nineveh Operations Command launched a wide-scale security campaign in Badush district, northeast of Mosul, managing to kill a senior Islamic State leader,” Major Azad Fouad told Dijlah TV channel.

“The troops also arrested 17 IS militants,” Fouad said, adding that a huge amount of ammunition and firearms were seized in their possession.

Former Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi announced in July 2017 liberation of the second largest Iraqi city of Mosul from IS militants, who had captured it in 2014. More than 25,000 militants were killed throughout the campaign, which started in October 2016.

The campaign was backed by paramilitary troops and a U.S.-led international coalition.

Islamic State militants kill 2 army soldiers, wound others in Iraq’s Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) – An Iraqi security source said on Tuesday that two army personnel were killed and two others injured in an attack that was launched last night by Islamic State in the province of Diyala.

Speaking to the privately-owned Dijlah TV channel, the source said that a group of Islamic State fighters launched an armed attack last night on Taha al-Rashed village, south of Buhriz, in Diyala province.

“The attack left two army personnel dead, and two others wounded, including an officer,” the source added.

In January 2015, Iraqi forces announced liberation of Diyala province from Islamic State extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

The province has seen months of fighting between Iraqi troops and IS militants especially in the Jalawla and Saadiyah areas in the province’s north and areas near the town of Muqdadiyah.
