4 Palestinians Killed of Wounds and Exploding Ordinance, Hundreds Injured and Abducted by Israeli Occupation Soldiers

June 5, 2021

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip said a mother has died from serious wounds she suffered when the Israeli occupation army fired missiles, on May 16th, into homes in Gaza city, killing 37 Palestinians, including her two daughters,

The sources said the woman, Diana Ziad Abu al-Ouf al-Yaziji, suffered serious wounds, before she was moved to a hospital in Gaza then was transferred to Jerusalem, but succumbed to her injuries on June 3rd.

She was injured when the army fired many missiles and shells into homes and residential buildings in the al-Wehda Street, in the center of Gaza city, killing 37 Palestinians, including her daughters Rawan and Shaymaa.

It is worth mentioning that Shaymaa was studying to become a dentist and was engaged to be married after the al-Fitr Muslim feast.

Yahia Bassem al-Ejla

On the same day of her death, a young Palestinian man, identified as Yahia Bassem al-Ejla, 24, also succumbed to serious wounds he suffered during the Israeli offensive.

Yahia and his cousin, Majd, were seriously injured when the army fired missiles into stores in the ash-Sheja’eyya neighborhood in Gaza city; Majd remains in a critical condition.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said their deaths bring the number of Palestinians who were killed during the eleven-day Israeli offensive on Gaza this past May to 260, including 66 children, 40 women, and 17 elderly.

Israeli Ordnance Explodes, Kills Two Palestinians in Gaza

 IMEMC, June 3, 2021

In a press statement, Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior and National Security announced the death of two Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip after an Israeli ordnance exploded in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

Spokesman for the Ministry in Gaza, Iyyad Al Bizem, stated that the explosive was fired at a resistance site during the latest Israeli aggression against Gaza, it exploded while the men were attempting to defuse it.

The two men killed were identified as, Usama Jineinah and Ahmad Zaki Abu Haseera, members of the Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas government

Quds News Network added that several others were injured from the explosion, no further details were available at the time of this report.

On May 10, the occupation army began another military assault on the tiny coastal enclave, which is home to 2 million Palestinians, living under an inhumane blockade by the Israeli occupation authorities.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner, Michelle Bachelet, 242 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli occupation army in strikes on Gaza, including 63 children. Thousands of others have been injured while it is estimated that over 74,000 Palestinians have been displaced. In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, 28 Palestinians, including five children, were killed as of 24 May.

Palestinian in Ramallah Dies of His Wounds

IMEMC, June 2, 2021

Another casualty was added to the death toll of the recent Israeli aggression in the West Bank and Gaza Strip from May 10 – 21, when the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Wednesday announced the death of the young man Fadi Sadiq Mousa Washha (34 years).

Fadi had been shot in the head by Israeli soldiers two weeks ago while participating in a protest in solidarity with the people of Gaza, where bombs were raining down, killing whole families crushed under the rubble of their homes.

He was near the northern entrance to Al-Biereh, in the Ramallah district, when Israeli soldiers invading the village shot him twice in the head. He was rushed to the hospital and into surgery, and was in the intensive care unit until his death on Wednesday June 2nd.

After the soldiers shot Fadi in the head, a photo of him resurfaced on the Internet, showing an attack several years ago in which he was bloodied and arrested by Israeli soldiers. He had suffered a lot throughout his entire life, ever since he was a child, at the hands of the Israeli occupation, sustaining bullet injuries and undergoing numerous arrests. Fadi had spent 8 years in Israeli prisons, and his young cousin was also murdered by the Israeli occupation several years ago.

The number of Palestinians killed during the Israeli aggression rose to 255, including 66 children and 39 women; among the dead are seventeen elderly and five with special needs.

Last week, a Palestinian died of his wounds on Monday, another died of his wounds on Thursday, and another four Palestinians were found buried under the rubble left of their homes after the Israeli bombardment.

Over 50,000 people were driven from their homes during the Israeli bombardment.

Now that the bombing has temporarily ceased, the Palestinians of Gaza remain trapped within the open-air prison of the Gaza Strip, in which 2.4 million Palestinians live crowded together in harsh economic conditions due to an Israeli siege that has been in place for fourteen years.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Shoot, Injure Two in Ni’lin, Suffocate Dozens at Weekly Kufur Qaddoum March

MEMC, June 5, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers cracked down on the weekly procession in the village of Kufur Qaddoum, causing dozens of inhalation injuries, and in Ni’lin, two Palestinians were shot with live rounds during a peaceful protest against Israeli colonial activities.

In Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia in the northern occupied West Bank, Palestinian citizens gathered for the weekly peaceful demonstration to express their objection to the illegal settlements, and demand the main road to the village be reopened.

Mourad Eshteiwi, the media spokesman for the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the army fired teargas canisters and rubber-coated steel rounds at the demonstrators, causing dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation. All injuries were treated at the scene.

For several years the residents of Kufur Qaddoum have held weekly processions in rejection of the illegal Israeli settlements, the apartheid wall, and the closing of the main road to the town.

Israeli soldiers opened fire at the peaceful protest in the village of Ni’lin, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, injuring two civilians with live rounds, the Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported.

The army fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel rounds, teargas canisters and stun grenades at protestors, striking two with live rounds. Both of the injured men were transferred to hospital for treatment.

Demonstrators assembled to express their rejection of the illegal Israeli settlements and the threat of annexation of Palestinian land.

The Israeli occupation army uses excessive use of force against peaceful demonstrators, causing bodily harm and death. Just recently a young Palestinian man named, Zakaria Hamayel, 28, was shot with a live round in the chest while participating in a peaceful rally near Nablus.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure 113 Palestinians In Nablus

MEMC, June 5, 2021

Palestinian medical sources have confirmed that Israeli occupation soldiers injured, Friday, 113 Palestinians during a procession against the illegal colonies and annexation of Palestinian lands in Beita village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Palestinian Red Crescent’s (PRC) Emergency Department in Nablus, said the soldiers shot 16 Palestinians with live fire, and 20 with rubber-coated steel bullets, and added that 73 Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

The Palestinians were injured when the soldiers attack the nonviolent protests on their lands in Jabal Abu Sbeih Mountain, where Israeli colonists recently set up an illegal outpost, after placing 20 mobile homes on the Palestinian lands.

Jibril added that one of the injured Palestinians was shot with a live round in the neck and is currently in a profoundly serious condition.

The Palestinians have been holding processions protesting the illegal annexation of their lands and livelihoods.

During these protests, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, identified as Dr. Issa Barham, 40, a District Attorney with the Palestinian Public Prosecution Department, who was fatally shot by the soldiers on Friday, May 14th, 2021, and Zakariya Hamayel, 28, who was shot and killed on Friday, May 28th, 2021.

Dozens of Palestinians have been injured by live Israeli army rounds, in addition to rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The WAFA Palestinian News Agency has reported that the number of colonists living in Jewish-only colonial settlements across occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in violation of international law has jumped to over 700,000 and colonial settlement expansion has tripled since the signing of Oslo Accords in 1993.

Israel’s nation-state law, passed in July 2018, enshrines Jewish supremacy, and states that building and strengthening the colonial settlements is a “national interest.”

Israeli soldiers shot, Friday, ten Palestinians with live fire, including one who suffered life-threatening wounds, after the army attacked a procession on Palestinian lands in Abu Sbeih Mountain, in Beita town, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Ambulance and Emergency Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the medics rushed ten Palestinians, who were shot with live fire, to a hospital in Nablus, including one who suffered profoundly serious wounds.

PRCS medics also provided treatment to several Palestinians who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and those who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinians were nonviolently marching on their lands during a procession that was organized by local social and political organizations, in addition to popular nonviolent resistance committees, protesting the illegal Israeli colonialist takeover of Palestinian lands.

It is worth mentioning that the illegal Israeli colonists installed a new outpost, earlier on May of this year, on Palestinian lands in Abu Sbeih Mountain, leading to daily protests.

WAFA: “19 Palestinians injured as Israeli Occupation Soldiers attack a marathon in Jerusalem”

 IMEMC, June 5, 2021

JERUSALEM, Friday, June 4, 2021 (WAFA) –

At least 19 Palestinians were injured today as Israeli occupation forces attacked and dispersed a marathon which was organized by Palestinian protesters outside the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Jerusalem.

The marathon was held to raise the voice of the dozens of Palestinian families facing an Israeli threat of eviction from their homes in Batn al-Hawa quarter, in the neighbourhood of Silwan, and in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.

The Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) said its medics provided medical treatment to 19 Palestinians who were wounded from stun grenades and due to beating by the Israeli police. One of the wounded was evacuated to a hospital.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli police fired teargas canisters and stun grenades at the competitors participating in the marathon, which set off from the entrance of Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood and passed through the Lions Gate and the Batn al-Hawa Quarter in the neighbourhood of Silwan. The marathon was dispersed as a result.

Police officers also assaulted reporters and cameramen working for the Palestine TV and smashed one of their cameras.

All of the competitors who were dispersed are citizens of occupied Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948.

Asaad Dari, 24, one of the participants of the marathon, told WAFA that this initiative aims to raise the voice and highlight the dangers of displacement and eviction facing many Palestinian families in the occupied capital.

He added that this marathon is part of the solidarity activities with the families threatened with eviction from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan.

At least 28 families in Sheikh Jarrah and 86 families in Batn al-Hawa are facing an Israeli threat of eviction from their homes in favour of colonial settler groups.

The potential evictions have gained international attention amid calls by many of the world leaders upon the Israeli occupation authorities not to proceed with the arbitrary evictions.

OCHA: Protection of Palestinian Civilians Report [May 24 – 31, 2021]

IMEMC, June 5, 2021

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Occupied Palestinian Territory (OCHA) Protection of Civilians Report | 24-31 May 2021

Highlights from the reporting period

Israeli occupation forces shot and killed three Palestinians, bringing to 36 the number of Palestinian fatalities in the West Bank so far in 2021, including six children. On 24 May, a 17-year-old Palestinian stabbed an Israeli civilian and an Israeli soldier in East Jerusalem, and was subsequently shot and killed by an Israeli police officer. The next day, Israeli undercover forces shot another Palestinian during an operation near Al Amari refugee camp (Ramallah). On 28 May, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian during a protest against the establishment of a new Israeli settlement outpost near the village of Beita (Nablus).

Overall, Israeli forces wounded 100 Palestinians across the West Bank. At least 69 of them were injured during the above-mentioned demonstration in Beita, 15 in a separate protest against settlement expansion near the village of Ni’lin (Ramallah), ten in a protest against the closure of the main entrance to Al Mughayyir village (Ramallah) by Israeli forces, and six in other incidents across the West Bank. Overall, 50 people were treated after inhaling tear gas, 18 were shot by rubber bullets, 16 were hit by live ammunition, and 16 others were physically assaulted or hit by tear gas canisters.

In Gaza, on 24 and 26 May, two Palestinian men died of wounds sustained during the escalation.

Israeli forces carried out 115 search-and-arrest operations and arrested 145 Palestinians across the West Bank. The majority of the operations were conducted in the Jerusalem governorate, mostly in East Jerusalem. Since unrest and violence increased in East Jerusalem in mid-April, Israeli forces have conducted 99 search-and-arrest operations in the city, detaining 97 Palestinians, including six journalists.

The Israeli authorities continued restricting the access to Al Ja’ouni area of Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem. Since 3 May, access to the area is permitted only for ambulances, UN vehicles and Palestinian residents who must undergo strict ID checks. These restrictions follow protests against an Israeli plan to evict Palestinians families from their homes in the neighbourhood, due to case courts filed by Israeli settler groups, and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces.

On 31 May, the Israeli authorities confiscated five structures in the communities of Umm Zaitunah and Al Buweib in Hebron for lack of building permits, displacing nine people, including four children, and undermining the livelihoods of 17 others. The structures included three residential structures and two livelihood structures. This follows a reduction in demolitions during Ramadan and the May escalation.

People known or believed to be Israeli settlers injured five Palestinians and damaged dozens of Palestinian-owned trees. On 24 May, a guard in the Israeli settlement of Dolev (Ramallah) shot and injured a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in unclear circumstances. In other incidents, settlers in Hebron city and in Deir Jarir (Ramallah) pepper-sprayed three Palestinians, including a boy and an elderly man, and other settlers physically assaulted a farmer who was working his land in Qaqiliya. Another farmer was physically assaulted near Ar Rihiya village (Hebron), where crops belonging to Palestinians were uprooted and at least 100 olive trees were set on fire. Also, around 70 trees were damaged in Sinjil (Ramallah. Palestinians reported that settlers stole over 100 bales of hay in Burin (Nablus) and took over a water cistern in Kisan (Bethlehem).

Stone throwers known or believed to be Palestinians injured one Israeli woman while she was driving inside the West Bank and damaged 17 Israeli-plated cars, according to Israeli sources.

The Kerem Shalom Crossing for goods remains open for the entry of specific basic commodities, including fodder, medical supplies, and supplies and fuel for the private sector and UNRWA. No goods have been authorized to leave Gaza through the crossing since 10 May. The Erez Crossing remains closed for most Palestinians in Gaza. Only a very limited number of urgent medical referrals have been allowed to exit through Erez. Since 25 May, fishing has resumed off the Gaza coast, but only for six nautical miles.
