28th Amendment

Not a new idea but one certainly whose time has come.

  Many citizens have no idea that Congress members retire with the same pay after only one term, that they don't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest example is the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. That doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States  Constitution:

          "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States".

The people living in Gaza are barely surviving after the blitzkrieg of a year ago….. but whatever they have they are willing to share with the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Gaza – Palestinians in Gaza set off for the Red Cross headquarters on Monday to offer donations and financial support for the victims of Haiti’s devastating earthquake on Tuesday. Relatives of Palestinian prisoners also participated in the drive, with many offering financial donations and goods including blankets and covers, as well as food and milk for children. Head of the Committee to Break the Siege Jamal Al-Khudary said “people may be astonished at our ability to collect donations from our people [in Gaza]; we tell them that this is a humanitarian campaign and our people love life and peace …” “We are here today supporting the victims of Haiti … we feel for them the most because we were exposed to our own earthquake during Israel’s war on Gaza.”

Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood. The Widow's Two Mites (Mark 12: 42-44).

Open Letter to U. S. Congresswoman "House Speaker" Pelosi On Using Six Pointed Stars?

The touch stone of loyalty to the State of Israel on each seat in our U.S. Congress

I have been told by your Clerk's Office, You as Speaker can make changes to the "decor" of the House at will. Lives of our FINEST and our Nation are put at unneeded peril by the current decorations of foreign six pointed stars. There is no record of a Vote in the U.S. House in 1949 at the time our National Five Pointed Star was taken down and replaced with a Foreign Six Pointed Star, The touch stone of loyalty to the State of Israel on each seat in our U.S. Congress. Our great House Chamber of Freedoms.

How many Middle East Citizens will watch on TV as our American President gives his speech to the Nation and World showing these Six Pointed Star of Israel as he says we are looking for peace. But as Israelis continues their taking and stealing more Palestinian Lives and Lands. Knowing the third Holiest Shrine to the Moslem world is Israel Target to dominate and later steal with there overwhelming force of arms.

The below email from the Clerk of the House states that she has no record of a Vote to use the current foreign Six Pointed Stars. "but there is no documentation explaining or mentioning the use of the six-pointed version."

The Great Seal of the our House is a Five Pointed Star. We should take metals from the destroyed 9/11 Twin Trade Towers and recast Five Pointed Stars, and not polish them with shine jewelry metals but left as molded from the flame's of truth. As a reminder to all We will Never Forget.

Dear Mr. Kennedy,

There are unfortunately no published images that show a detail of the stars at the joints of the seats in the current House Chamber, on the internet or in print.

The current style of furniture was installed in 1949, and was manufactured by a New York furniture company called Knip, which is no longer in business. There are drawings for both five and six –pointed brass stars associated with the design of the furniture, but there is no documentation explaining or mentioning the use of the six-pointed version.
