The following photo shows Al-Tahrir Square in Cairo as the headquarters of the Egyptian revolution for the 18 days of the Revolution's duration. The photo shows that the Tahriri Square was composed of several organized sections, leading and coordinating the Revolution in the Square and streets of Cairo and other Egyptian cities.

As the revolutionary protests neared their peak, on February 11, 2011, the BBC's Yolande Knell took a tour of the area. Readers can explore the protesters' camp by clicking on the photo's various links.
